This coming
year, I hope to see more members become aware of the vast variety of
projects that Kiwanis supports, locally and internationally, and its
achievements in its nearly century of service. At each meeting,
we will spend a few minutes giving a brief background on the various
aspects of Kiwanis. I hope this will make each member feel proud
to be a part of such a dynamic and important organization.
In addition,
the budget and finance committee will stay in business year-round,
rather than just for a few meetings around the start of
September. During the year, we have ebbs and flows in cash
available, and also there are new ideas which come to light. It's
just as important that Kiwanis undertake productive projects for its
money as it is to raise it.
