KDCCP (Kiwanis
Doernbecher Children's Cancer Project)
Pacific
Northwest District Kiwanis clubs in Oregon and Southwest Washington
conduct an annual fund raiser for the Dorenbecher Children's Cancer
Center. In the past, the funds raised have been used to build 6 private
rooms for young cancer victims and include facilities for their
parents to stay with them during their ordeal. Currently the funds
raised are being used to provide training for three doctors a year in
children's oncology. The results of everyone's generous contributions
over the years have resulted in the terminal cancer rate in children
dropping from 800% to less that 20%.
